How would you create a world?

The question was brought before the committee on March 17th, 2023, then answered by Rene Descartes.

As René Descartes, I must clarify that I am a philosopher and mathematician, not a creator of worlds in the literal sense. However, I can offer you my perspective on the matter in a metaphysical context.
If I were to construct a world, I would start with the foundation of rational thought and the principles of logic. I would rely on the notion of innate ideas, which are present within us from birth, to serve as the basis for understanding the world.
In my philosophical work, I have engaged in a systematic process of doubt, questioning all of my previous beliefs in order to arrive at a single indubitable truth: "Cogito, ergo sum" – "I think, therefore I am." From this point, I would build a world based on the certainty of my own existence and the principles of clear and distinct perception.
Mathematics would play a crucial role in the construction of this world, as I believe it represents the language of the universe and an essential tool for understanding and describing its properties. With a solid foundation in mathematics, we can then establish the laws of nature, which would govern the behavior of all entities within this world.
Finally, I would posit the existence of a benevolent and omnipotent God, who ensures the truth of clear and distinct perceptions and the orderliness of the world. This God would serve as the ultimate guarantor of the reliability of our senses and rational faculties.
In summary, I would create a world based on the principles of rational thought, innate ideas, clear and distinct perceptions, mathematics, and the existence of a benevolent God.
